A Canadian journalist, author, and civic leader, Green helped bring credibility and serious investigation to a subject that had long been dismissed as folklore. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia , Green earned a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University at just 20 years old. He went on to work for several newspapers before purchasing and operating the Agassiz-Harrison Advance , a community newspaper in rural British Columbia.
